Chani Buchner-Knobe, PTA, CMT
Hi, I’m Chani Buchner-Knobe. I am a Jackson Hole native and attended the University of Wyoming after high school receiving a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then went on to get my Certification as a Massage Therapist from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in Denver.
After working in several physical therapy clinics around the country as a massage therapist and exercise specialist, I had a growing desire to expand my skills further. I attended PTA school at Delgado Community College in New Orleans and received my Associates of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I have always had a love for outpatient orthopedics and I’m very happy to be part of the Excel team in order to promote health, wellness and physical rehabilitation for the active Jackson population.
My specialties include:
- Manual Therapy: massage therapy certification, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), muscle energy, scar massage
- Mat Pilates
- Core Stabilization
- Therapeutic exercise, postural stabilization, injury prevention and body mechanics
- TRX Suspension Training Certified

I love Jackson and am active in a variety of area activities, including fly fishing, hiking, rafting, wakeboarding/surfing, snowshoeing, skiing, camping and photography. I also enjoy live music, food and spending time with my family and friends.
A physical therapy thought: Core stabilization is of great importance for whole body injury prevention and rehabilitation. Your core is more than just your ab muscles, it’s your body’s “powerhouse.”
