Hi, I’m Gianna Risoli. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2007, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Physiology and a Certificate in Neuroscience. I then went on to continue my education at the University of Colorado, and received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
I am originally from Colorado, where I have worked with the full spectrum of active communities ranging from world-class competitors to weekend warriors. My passion lies within orthopedics with a strong emphasis on manual therapy and prescriptive exercise skills. One of my most rewarding experiences was working with high school athletes. In addition, I have also been exposed to a variety of patient populations including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, cerebrovascular disease, and pulmonary dysfunctions.
I have experience with:
- Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy
- Return to Sport
- Total Joint Replacement
And my specialties include:
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- Certified in Exercise Nutrition
- Dry Needling
- Certified in Kinesiotape
I am always up for an adventure, whether it is traveling, enjoying the outdoors, or learning something new. I enjoy skiing, backpacking, biking, soccer, running, paddle boarding, live music and photography.
My personal PT tip: Don’t settle for anything less than whole patient care.—“The part can never be well unless the whole is well.” -Plato
