Maria graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then continued her studies at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, where she earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.

In 2001, Maria began working at St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson, gaining experience across a wide range of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, aquatic therapy, and wound care. By 2005, she had become the Director of Rehabilitation at Teton Physical Therapy, a role she held for two years. In 2007, she co-founded Excel Physical Therapy with Francine Bartlett.

Maria has a strong passion for Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, with a special focus on shoulder rehabilitation.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys mountain biking, downhill and Nordic skiing, climbing, cooking, and gardening, as well as spending quality time with her family and friends.

Her guiding philosophy is simple: Be proactive in your rehab to achieve the best results.
